Disposable syringes cannot be discarded at will after use. General hospitals have certain rules for the use of syringes. The specific rules generally include the following points.
1. The inoculation unit should have a special person responsible for the disinfection and destruction of disposable syringes.
2. Establish records of the allocation or purchase, use, and destruction of disposable syringes. The records should be completely recorded and the accounts should be consistent.
3. Disposable syringes should be used for vaccination.
4. When using disposable syringes for vaccination, the system of "one person, one needle, one tube, one use and one destruction" must be strictly implemented.
5. When using disposable syringes, the staff of the grassroots inoculation unit should check whether the package of the syringe is in good condition and within the validity period. Products whose packaging has been damaged or have exceeded the validity period should not be used.
6. When the inoculation is completed, the used disposable syringe should be placed in a puncture-proof safe collection container (safety box) made of sturdy material, and handed in for disposal before the next inoculation. Do not reuse single-use syringes.
7. The disposable syringe after use can be deformed with a deformer, or after the needle and the barrel are separated by hand, the needle can be directly placed in a puncture-proof container or bent over 90 degrees with pliers, and the syringe is clamped with pliers To cut off the nipple, soak it in a disinfectant containing 1000mg/L of effective chlorine for more than 60 minutes.
Finally, the disposal methods of disposal and destruction, incineration or burial are unified to ensure the disposable use of the syringe.
